Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and learn how I AUTHORIZE THIS was created.

My name is LaQuan N. Castro, better known as your DJ's favorite DJ, DJ Authorize. I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY and still reside in Brooklyn. The name DJ Authorize came from an event that occurred while playing in my hometown's basketball pro-league. I was asked who authorized me to take a shot during an intense game. From that moment I knew opportunities are given to you every day and I knew one day I'd show the world that I can take those opportunities and conquer anything I put my heart into. 

While the chapter of basketball was coming to an end a new door of opportunity opened and I followed my passion for music. Music is something everyone can relate to but yet it moves everyone differently. When I chose a name for myself in the music world I chose DJ Authorize to represent me, a word that gave me so much motivation towards fulfilling these opportunities and pursuing my dreams. To be able to provide music that makes people smile and enjoy life is truly a blessing. I was also blessed to DJ for Brooklyn Nets as well as, Nike and Jordan Brands. I also provide music and entertainment at elite leagues such as Nike Rose Classic, Nike Tournament of Champions, Miami Pro League, Gersh Park, NYvsNY, and Pro City as well as many other events.

I am now onto my next big adventure with my brand I AUTHORIZE THIS which represents opportunity, a brand that reminds you at the end of the day you control your own destiny and to never take for granted all the opportunities we get in life and your choice to turn them into success.


I am pleased to present the brand I AUTHORIZE THIS with the release of our hat collection. We will have future releases of additional I AUTHORIZE THIS merchandise.
